GRAY SCREEN
Created in homage to pioneering designer, Eileen Gray and exhibited at the iconic Schindler House in Los Angeles, our Gray Screen is a one of a kind work of art.
The room divider is composed of 21 unique cast resin MetaMATERIAL tiles that play with color, pattern and translucency.
By seamlessly recasting unused fragments from previous projects into larger resin blocks, we created a new material with intricate and un-imagined patterns that we cut and assembled into the cantilevered stacked form of our screen.
As our first large scale MetaMATERIAL piece and first time experiment with combining translucent and opaque resins, our screen is a landmark in the creation of our unique MetaMATERIAL casting process. Each tile in our screen encapsulates pieces of our studio’s history.
